"From the outside looking in, you could never understand it. From the inside looking out, you could never explain it."
A Brief History.
Since its founding in 1898 at Longwood University, Tri Sigma has promoted the development of a strong womanly character, strived for the creation of lifelong bonds of sisterhood, and has taught her members to embody high standards of conduct. Although this organization started from a humble beginning of eight members, it now encompasses over 100,000 women in chapters across the nation. It is safe to say the original eight members (Margaret Lee Batten, Louise Marie Davis, Martha Trent Featherston, Isabella Merrick, Sallie Jackson Michie, Lelia Scott, Elizabeth Watkins, and Lucy Wright) could not have begun to imagine what they started with the formation of this sisterhood.

Our Chapter!
Your college years are all about gaining the skills to succeed in life, making lasting friendships and having fun! Sigma Sigma Sigma’s mission is to do all this as well as help our members develop a strong womanly character and achieve high standards of conduct. Our long-standing core values are wisdom, power, faith, hope, and most importantly, love. Our philanthropic motto is "Sigma Serves Children". Therefore, we volunteer our time mentoring local at risk youth, supporting the local Bethlehem area, and holding events to support our National Philanthropy, the Robbie Page Memorial. We have also recently begun a community partnership with the North Central Little League of Bethlehem. Currently, we are a chapter of 41 women who are studying a variety of majors and are involved in many different sports teams as well as other organizations on campus.
